What?
Sponsor a scholarship in your name
By creating a scholarship in your name, you will enable a young human rights activist to learn, grow, and unlock opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
How?
Partial scholarship
Support with € 1,500 for a participant’s tuition fee waiver. This will cover:
- Attendance to all sessions
- Meals during class
- Reading materials
- Certificate of attendance
Full scholarship
Support with € 4,000 for a full scholarship for one selected candidate. This will cover:
- Tuition fee
- International airfare
- Accommodation in Venice
- Local transportation
- Subsistence

Meet the human rights defenders who have been supported in their journey
Dincer, Turkey
Dincer is a project manager of human rights educational activities in Turkey. Dincer’s work aims to advocate for academic freedom and training for human rights defenders. Dincer attended the Venice School in 2022 thanks to the support of the European Endowment for Democracy. Through the programme and the exchange with other participants, Dincer learned how to create restorative justice approaches for different community groups in Turkey.
